The lady, identified as Lush The Perfume Plug on X (formerly Twitter), took to her page to express her personal opinion about one of the photos Iyabo Ojo uploaded alongside the birth announcement. According to her, the choice of photo raised questions and discomfort as it captured an intimate hospital moment.

Recall that Iyabo Ojo, who is a highly celebrated Nollywood star, had joyfully announced the arrival of her grandson, Ayomide Mbakala, through a heartfelt Instagram post on August 24, 2025. The news was shared on the same day that fellow actress Funke Akindele celebrated her 48th birthday, making it a day of double celebration within the Nigerian entertainment industry. The actress shared a memorable photo featuring herself, her daughter Priscilla, and the newborn in the hospital’s delivery room, symbolizing the start of a new chapter for her family.

While many fans and colleagues congratulated Iyabo Ojo for becoming a grandmother, Lush The Perfume Plug voiced her dissatisfaction with the specific photo posted. She particularly pointed out that in the image, Priscilla was still undergoing medical stitching after the delivery, a moment she believed should not have been shared publicly. According to her, such an intimate and vulnerable moment ought to have been kept private, rather than displayed online.

In her exact words, she wrote on X: “Never seen where they’d post Baby Arrival pictures when the doctors aren’t even done stitching the mum up. 😭😭😭 God Abeg.” Her statement immediately attracted mixed reactions, with some agreeing that the photo choice was too sensitive, while others argued that it symbolized the raw beauty of childbirth and motherhood.

This has since sparked further discussions online about boundaries when sharing personal or family milestones on social media, especially when it involves the privacy of new mothers. Some users defended Iyabo Ojo’s decision, saying it showed authenticity and a real glimpse into the motherhood journey, while others sided with Lush The Perfume Plug, insisting such photos should remain within the family circle.
