Viral Ibom Air passenger, Comfort Emmanson, has broken her silence in an emotional outpour, narrating the deep pain, humiliation, and irreversible damage that the recent incident has caused to her life, reputation, and future. The young lady, whose name trended across social media platforms after a viral video showed her in a heated clash with an Ibom Air hostess, said the saga left her not only traumatized but also stripped of her dignity as a woman.
Recounting her ordeal, Comfort revealed that the altercation began unexpectedly after she was sharply instructed by the hostess to switch off her phone, a directive she claimed was given in a harsh and disrespectful manner. She explained that she complied but felt singled out and unfairly targeted. Things escalated further upon landing, when she briefly stepped into the restroom and, on returning, discovered that every other passenger had already disembarked, leaving her alone with the air hostess inside the aircraft.
According to Comfort, it was at this vulnerable moment that the confrontation took a more disturbing turn. She alleged that the air hostess physically assaulted her by pulling off her wig, damaging her phone and necklace in the process, and even exposing her body during the scuffle. This humiliating incident, unfortunately, was captured on video and circulated online within hours, subjecting her to public ridicule.
She lamented that what followed was a nightmare she never imagined possible. Comfort revealed that the embarrassing clip had since been turned into WhatsApp stickers, shared widely across social media, reducing her dignity to a subject of mockery. The stigma, she said, has taken a devastating toll on her mental health, career, and personal life, leaving her feeling broken and isolated.
Speaking further, Comfort admitted that the ordeal had shattered her confidence and left her questioning her future. She emphasized that she is not a troublemaker but a hardworking young woman trying to build a career in real estate. With her reputation now tainted, she fears losing clients and opportunities because people can no longer look at her without recalling the viral scandal.
In her heartfelt words, she said:
“I am ash@med to go out because everyone has seen my body. They even used it as WhatsApp sticker. I am into real estate, I don’t know how to talk to customers knowing that my body is out there. How will I get married? My unborn kids will see this. My reputati0n is gone. I am not a troublemaker. I am still rounding up my treatment from the hospital.”
Her tearful confession has sparked sympathy from some Nigerians, while also drawing calls for Ibom Air to thoroughly investigate the incident and ensure justice is served. Comfort, however, remains adamant that the damage done to her dignity and image may never be undone.
