Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, widely known by his stage name Portable, has stirred reactions online after openly mocking social media influencer GheGhe and the youths who subscribe to his teachings. The Zazuu crooner made his remarks while referencing King Solomon in the Bible, pointing out the biblical king’s famous 700 wives as an example to counter GheGhe’s ideologies.
This comes in the wake of GheGhe’s widely debated relationship advice, where he consistently discourages men from spending money on women or caring for them. According to GheGhe, investing in women financially is unwise and leads to unnecessary losses. His teachings, which he promotes under the banner of his self-styled “School of Wisdom”, have attracted a growing number of young men who attend his sessions in hopes of gaining insights on how to navigate relationships with women.
Reacting to this, Portable sharply criticized GheGhe’s stance, arguing that generosity towards women is essential and should not be condemned. Using King Solomon as an example, he emphasized that Solomon would not have had 700 wives if he had not been willing to provide for them, suggesting that care and resources play a role in building relationships.
In a viral video, Portable lashed out at GheGhe and his ideology, claiming that such teachings could leave men lonely, broke, and without meaningful relationships. He accused GheGhe of being stingy and poor, ridiculing him for misleading his followers with what Portable believes are impractical views on women and relationships.
Portable said: “GheGhe, you’re a stingy man, you’re a broke man. What did King Solomon give 700 women? You think Solomon didn’t spend money and women followed him? I have a wife, I don’t want to come to your school, I don’t want to go broke, I don’t want to end up poor, I don’t want to end up lonely. GheGhe, it’ll be hard before women give you their body because you’re stingy, even your boxer is dirty. You can’t buy women better things like cars.”
He went further to warn young men against attending GheGhe’s classes, stressing that the so-called “School of Wisdom” is nothing but a trap that would push its students towards poverty. Portable mocked GheGhe’s followers, asking rhetorically what exactly they were battling with, before branding them as broke just like their mentor.
The video immediately went viral on social media platforms, drawing thousands of comments and sparking heated debates among netizens. While some applauded Portable for defending generosity and calling out GheGhe, others criticized him for trying to gain attention by attacking the influencer. Opinions remain divided as the conversation about money, relationships, and men’s responsibilities continues to trend.
