The drama unfolded after a curious fan asked Tunde Ednut during an interaction when he planned to acquire his own private jet, just like his close friend and global Afrobeat sensation Davido, who is known for his luxury lifestyle and expensive taste.

In his response, Tunde Ednut jokingly declared that he would only buy his private jet after Wizkid acquires one. He wrote, “After Wizkid, by God’s grace,” a statement that immediately ignited heated debates across social media platforms.

Many fans quickly interpreted the comment as a subtle dig at Wizkid, with some accusing Tunde of deliberately provoking the Grammy-winning artist. Others, however, claimed it was harmless banter and just another example of Tunde’s sarcastic humor that often trends online.

This latest remark adds to the long history of tension between Tunde Ednut and Wizkid’s camp. Back in 2021, Tunde had referred to Wizkid as his “younger brother” while praising one of his stage performances. The comment did not sit well with Wizkid’s fan base, who accused him of being disrespectful to the Starboy.

Wizkid himself has also clashed with Tunde Ednut in the past. During one heated online exchange involving Davido, Wizkid suggested that Tunde needed deliverance and further noted that he doesn’t waste time dissing “disabled individuals.” These past encounters have fueled speculations of an ongoing rivalry or bad blood between both parties.

The timing of Tunde’s jet comment is also significant as it comes shortly after Davido’s billionaire father, Dr. Deji Adeleke, purchased a third private jet, further cementing the Adeleke family’s reputation for wealth and luxury. This comes barely a year after Davido himself splashed $75 million on his own jet and recently celebrated his grand wedding in Miami, Florida.

As expected, social media users wasted no time in sharing their opinions. While some defended Wizkid, others felt Tunde’s comments were nothing more than harmless clout-chasing designed to keep him in the spotlight.
