A website linked to the late Liverpool forward, Diogo Jota, has reportedly disappeared after collecting donations amounting to $64,250 from fans and well-wishers worldwide.
It will be recalled that Diogo Jota sadly lost his life in a fatal car crash on July 3, 2025, in Zamora, Spain, a tragedy that shocked the football world and left supporters devastated.

Reports from The Telegraph revealed that a website under the name diogojotafoundation.org was launched just three days after the striker’s death. The platform claimed to honor Jota’s legacy by raising funds for humanitarian purposes.
On the donation page, visitors were encouraged to contribute using cryptocurrency. The page specifically mentioned that it accepted payments in USDT, ETH, and other tokens via NOWPayments, which was portrayed as a secure transaction channel.
The website also made several bold claims to establish credibility. It stated that the supposed foundation had already distributed 25,000 meals to those in need, sponsored 300 children in their education, and successfully formed 50 active partnerships with local organizations.
However, following increased public attention and scrutiny, the website has reportedly gone offline, leaving donors questioning the authenticity of the project and the whereabouts of the funds. The situation has sparked outrage among fans and calls for a thorough investigation.
