Emotions flow heavily as a young corper tragically passes away in a devastating accident shortly after leaving the NYSC orientation camp and officially reporting to his LGA for documentation. The heartbreaking incident has left many in shock and mourning across social media platforms.
According to reports making the rounds, the corps member, identified as Opadotun Oluwadamilare Gbolahun, lost his life in a ghastly bike accident. Tragedy struck when a vehicle suddenly veered off its lane and collided with the bike he was riding on, leaving him fatally injured on the spot. Sadly, this happened only a short while after he had gone through his official clearance and documentation at his assigned LGA.
It was further gathered that the deceased was on his way to his personal shop in Ondo State when the accident occurred. The painful news has drawn widespread reactions, with colleagues, friends, and well-wishers struggling to come to terms with the sudden demise of the promising young man who had just begun his national service journey.
The shocking incident was first shared on the video-sharing platform TikTok, where tributes poured in for the deceased. Many sympathizers have expressed deep grief while also praying for the family and urging fellow corps members to always stay safe. The official NYSC Band in Ondo State also confirmed the sad news in a moving tribute, stating: “We lost more than a band member, we lost a friend and a brother. It has been confirmed that corps member Opadotun Oluwadamilare Gbolahan with state code OD/25B/0216 has passed away. According to official reports, he died in a bike accident after a car left its lane and hit the bike he was on, causing his untimely death on the spot. At the time, he had already reported to his PPA and completed his documentation with the LGI. The tragic accident happened on his way to his shop in Owo, Ondo State.
