A shocking incident of police misconduct has gone viral in Anambra State, where a police officer was caught on camera allegedly attempting to forcibly enter a man's residence without presenting a search warrant, falsely accusing the occupant of being a cultist, and ultimately extorting ₦1 million in bribes.

The explosive footage was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by prominent Nigerian activist Harrison, whose detailed narration accompanies the video that has sparked nationwide outrage. According to Harrison's account, the officer initially failed to identify himself as law enforcement while aggressively trying to gain unauthorized entry into the private residence.

The situation took a dramatic turn when the homeowner began recording the encounter, capturing the officer's face on camera. Only then did the officer suddenly produce his police ID, while still maintaining his unfounded accusation that the resident was a cult member. The video clearly captures the officer declaring, "We're policemen, you're a cultist," as he attempts to breach the home's perimeter.

Harrison can be heard confronting the officer in the video: "You see yourself? You wan jump enter person house without uniform. If by my house you come I go comot your hand." He further condemns the officer's actions, stating: "How do you go into people's houses without identifying yourself? Because you now see camera on your face, you now say you're a police officer. After everything, you still collected ₦1 million."

The activist delivered a scathing indictment of the officer's conduct: "Na robbery you go, na stealing. You went to steal from the man's house. After the money you collected, you exonerated him from the crime you claimed he committed. You're a disgrace to the Nigeria Police Force."

The video has triggered massive backlash across social media platforms, with Nigerians from all walks of life expressing fury over this latest example of police brutality and corruption. The comment section has become a forum for citizens to share similar experiences and demand police reform.
